 Personal life



 Jessica Steen was born in Toronto, Ontario, the daughter of Joanna Noyes, an actress, and Jan Steen, a director and actor. Steen is of Dutch and Scottish heritage.



 



 Steen in addition to her professional career as an entertainer, is also an environmentalist and an advocate for animal rights. She supports David Suzuki and the World Society for the Protection of Animals. She is certified to dive and has learned a number of circus arts, including fire-twirling and stilt-walking.
